EXPERIENCE
Summary
Key member of interdisciplinary teams which develop solutions in a creative, team-oriented environment.
Collaboration with strategists, designers and technologists based on the central premise of User-Centered Design approach: the best solutions result from a complex understanding of the users' needs and business objectives, throughout the design development process.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; investigative approach, supported by a logical, structured thinking. Detail-oriented, comfortable in a process-driven environments.
Ability to use a strategic approach in the design development process, by identifying the real problem and defining the right solution.
Balanced approach in reconciling client, user, and system requirements.
Close colalboration with teams members to ensure product remains true to stated goals of functional design thoughout the development lifecycle (including conflict resolution, negotiation and communication).
You can check here a representative sample of User Experience deliverables.
Strategic Design Planning
- Focus on defining business objectives and express the project goals relative to client and end-user relevancies
- Inform the definition of business goals by anticipating the user's point of view at the earliest stages of the design development process
- Participate in project planning activities, to capitalize on strategic opportunities
Design Analysis
- Lead initial stages of design development efforts by identifying business priorities and defining user profiles
- Facilitate design sessions with end users and/or clients, to articulate constraints, identify domain-specific problems and refine requirements
- Articulate client requirements and definition of Business Requirements

- Development of detailed Design Requirements documentation
Information Architecture
- Identify patterns in large amounts of data; definition of complex relationships and contexts in specific informational spaces
- Content Modeling and Site Architecture development development
- User Flows modeling and definition of site navigation systems
User Interface Design
- Structured, user-centered approach in development of complex user interfaces, information design, functionality, navigation elements
- Development of UI Design documentation, identifying component relationship and hierarchy (wireframes)
- Development of detailed UI Design Specifications
Management
- Coordination of the Information Architecture practice through monitoring projects, ensuring product quality, and identifying best practices
- Implementation of accepted User-Centered Design standards
- Development of standardized IA, UI and Design Requirements documentation
- Inter-disciplinary collaboration in definition and implementation of a unified design development process
Opportunity
User Experience Architects focus on complex user needs, wants and desires. Operating in a key strategic context, we can have an effective voice in articulating challenges, framing information design strategies and approaches.
Look beyond solving problems; frame the design challenge in a larger context. Being involved in strategy formation [as opposed to only strategy implementation], we work to identify the needs before defining solutions.
Design thinking and practice are well suited to planning, defining and developing usable, integrated solutions . This adds expertise and complements the core strategy definition by building upon the essential knowledge [human-centered methodologies] and core values [holistic approach] of the UX practice.
